Davao Gourmet Collective Holiday Market

Davao Gourmet Collective Holiday Market
December 6, 2013 - First of all, let me greet you a Merry Christmas! This is my first entry for this month and once again, Davao Gourmet Collective is in SM Lanang Premier. "It brings together the city's finest artisans and gourmands in one food fest, all to showcase the vast assortment of exceptional eats and specialty must-haves this holiday season." I attended the first Davao Gourmet Collective few months ago and I don't want to miss this event as it is of course, a Christmas edition and it is meant to be special for the foodies and those who want to experience a different kind of cuisine.

Participating Purveyors for this Davao Gourmet Collective Holiday Market
From December 6-8, 2013, Davao Gourmet Collective will be open for the mall goers and those who want to have lunch or dinner with their sumptuous dishes served by participating restaurants who are well-known and popular here in Davao. Here are the participants for this year's festive gourmet collective:

La Bodeguita
If you want to enjoy Spanish cuisine, then La Bodeguita is for you! Through their food, they will give their guests a taste of Spain. Their food consists of chorizos and other great Spanish selections. It is owned by Yvonne Soriano. They're located at Torres St.

Baby Cakes
If you happen to be a sweet tooth and absolutely love cupcakes and sweet confections, Baby Cakes is the answer. It is owned by Ms. Maite Gempesaw. By visiting this booth, you'll notice the Christmas colors and their sweet desserts are wrapped beautifully that can attract your eyes and be tempted to buy these goodies!
They offer DIY Gingerbread House, Christmas Cookies, Fruitcake, Healthy Loaf Cakes and Ginger Snap Cookies.

Cellar de Boca Wine Kitchen
Looking for great food and wine? Cellar de Boca has it all. It is a Spanish-themed restaurant found at SM Lanang Premier, fountain court area. They exclusively serve Argentina's quality Lagarde wines and comfort food. Their Beef Salpicao is a must try. :)

Jonathan's Cupcakery
Homemade cupcakes and dessert bars at affordable prices? Jonathan's Cupcakery is the answer. It is owned by Jonathan Ramirez (shown in the photo). It is located at the Upper Ground of SM Lanang Premier. They offer cupcakes that come in a variety of enticing flavors. Among them are Red Velvet, Chocolate, Triple Vanilla Bean and more.  For this Christmas, they have an eggnog that can be enjoyed at home. I've also tried their pudding and chocolate chip cookies. They're a YUM!

Malagos Chocolate and Farmhouse Cheeses
When it comes to pure chocolate and delicious cheeses, just look for Malagos Chocolate and Farmhouse Cheeses. It has become famous for its natural products and farm-fresh food from the gardens such as gourmet cheeses and specialty food products such as Tableya. It is owned by cheesemaker Olive Puentespina. They offer Bignay Wine and Malagos Chocolate.

Pastanni
If you're looking for Italian food, stop by at Pastanni. They've opened their 1st store in Abreeza just beside T'nalak. It's owned by Chef Annie Cacho Garcia. It serves a wide array of pasta dishes, piada, salads, beverages and Italian desserts in an affordable price. They offer Specialty wraps, Piada rolls and more.
Their Pastacookie choco chips is a must try too! :D

RBG of Park Inn Davao
RBG is short for Restaurant, Bar and Grill. RBG is Park Inn Davao's hip all-day dining outlet designed for today's generation of fun-loving urbanites. Their menu includes charcoal-grilled meat and seafood, locally-inspired specialties and timeless favorites. I've tried their buffet once and I can say that it has wide variety of choices and you'll enjoy its atmosphere once you're dining in the resto. They offer Porchetta, noodles, and others.

Bleu Chili Wing Bar
Bleu Chili is fast-becoming a favorite food spot in the metro for its delish food offerings. They're owned by partners Chef Martin lozano and Chef Gemma Herradura. You can never go wrong with them as they offer crispy fried wings to their varied choices of dips, sauces and ice teas. I wanna try all of these soon! :)

Osvaldo's Cakes
Looking for cakes? Osvaldo's Cakes is one of the best dessert places here in Davao City. They're known for creating edgy and artistic cakes and pies using only the finest ingredients. It is owned by siblings Joel and Jose Marie Rodriguez with wife Dindin. They also offer cheese cakes and in fact, I've tried one of their cheesecakes with blue cheese in it. Surprisingly, I liked the taste of it! It's rich, flavorful and the aroma of blue cheese is in there. :)

Sunahama Noodle Bar
If you are into East Asian food, travel to Japan and try the Sunahama Ramen. I've tried beef ramen at Sumo Sam and it was so good! They're surprisingly affordable and I want to try them soon. I also want to try their version of Pork Tonkatsu.

Crazy Cook
Crazy cook is known for catering services and they're known here in Davao as they cater to a variety of occasions. I've tried one of their baos and it's so flavorful that I can have 2 pieces of it! They offer Truffle Cheese Pate, Caviar Pate, Assorted Baos with Angus Beef, Bacon Bulgogi and Braised Knuckles. It is owned by Carmina Mapa-del Rosario.

Sweet Spot Artisan Ice Cream
When you're in search for an artisan ice cream, Sweet Spot Artisan Ice Cream is a perfect choice as they're the first and only maker of artisan ice cream in Davao City. They're known for creating the world-famous Crocodile ice cream that is made from real crocodile eggs. I've personally tried the crocodile ice cream and it's a lot richer and creamier than a commercialized one. They also offer dragonfruit ice cream and other must-try flavors.

Bangkok Wok
Bangkok Wok is founded in 2009 by couple Raffy and Carmina Mapa-del Rosario. They serve an authentic Thai cuisine that everybody will surely love and want to eat more. The owner Carmina herself spent her growing up years in Bangkok. They offer Kao Soy, Chicken Sate, Roast Duck Curry and Bagoong Rice which I really love to eat. (I'm so sorry about the watermark placement..)

If you still want to enjoy the Davao Gourmet Collective Holiday Market, they're up to December 8, 2013. Head to SM Lanang Premier atrium and enjoy the best foods that they can offer. Merry Christmas folks! :D
